Dan Carter – Club Professional

Dan Carter joined us from Upavon Golf Club in November 2019, taking over as Head Professional bringing 14 years of experience of all aspect of Golf Club operations.

Turning Professional, aged 18, Dan graduated as a fully qualified PGA Professional and Level 3 Coach in 2009.  Since qualifying he has worked hard to build up great reputation as a player and coach. Notably a highlight was winning the ‘Titleist & FootJoy Order of Merit’ in 2013, as well as multiple PGA Regional Pro-Am victories.

Dan still has a great passion for the game and prides himself in providing a first-class retail outlet and excellent individual and group coaching programs to members and visitors. Working alongside the Club’s management, he and his team will always endeavour to please the current membership in all areas.

Mark Rankin – Assistant Professional

Mark has been working at Weymouth Golf Club for over seven years. After an outstanding amateur career, Mark, turned Professional in 2017. Since starting his PGA qualification, he soon realised his passion for coaching by bringing a friendly and professional approach to teaching. Having gained over two years coaching experience Mark has become an accomplished coach, his simplistic approach allows him to be successful with all abilities.

Alongside coaching Mark still loves to get out on the range and course, practicing for local and national PGA tournaments.
